I'm wearing a moustache during the month of May in order to help raise money for Episcopal Relief and Development. Most recently they've partnered with local agencies and churches assisting in the relief efforts in Haiti.
They also seek to alleviate hunger by working with local farmers and families, providing them tools, seeds, or livestock. They offer micro-finance opportunities and help train people to start their own small businesses.
ER&D ensures that traditionally marginalized and vulnerable groups —such as girls and women, people living with HIV/AIDS and other disabilities, and children orphaned by AIDS— receive education and tools to support themselves.
In addition they work with NetsForLife in order to provide mosquito nets in order to prevent Malaria. They build wells, latrines, water stations and smokeless stoves to prevent water-borne illnesses and acute respiratory infections, and provide training in their use and maintenance.
