Fund kridlet's 'Stache of Equality!

Thankful 'Stache

Thank you all for supporting my ‘stache, and for making Fund-A-Stache 2010 a huge success. We raised over $12,000 for great charities! Until next year…

May 'Stache

Well, May is coming to an end, which means the demise of my moustache. It’s had a fine run this year, but it needs your donations to help it cope with it’s upcoming 11 month hibernation. Click the Donate Now! button to support the work of the Mexican American Legal Defense and Educational Fund – or hit the link below to donate to the memorial funds of two immigration activists who recently past away.

Thanks for helping to make this year’s Fund-A-Stache a success!

Mourning 'Stache

Two activists of the immigration reform movement who helped to push the DREAM Act to the forefront of the immigration discussion, were killed in an auto accident this past weekend.

Cinthya Felix and Tam Tran worked hard to prepare themselves to be valuable members of their communities, and fought to make their communities better for all.

We still have work to do on the DREAM Act, but building from Cinthya’s and Tam’s legacies, we’ll get there.

I would like to ask that all donations be redirected to the memorial funds set up for these two by their friends and families. You can donate at: http://tamandcinthyamemorial.blogspot.com/

Thank you.

Funding 'Stache

OK. Time to ante up. I’ve left you alone for half the month of May. No nagging, heart-wrenching stories of talents unrealized or families divided. While I have asked some of you to participate, I’ve not yet made an all out play for your pocket book.

But this is a fundraising effort, folks, which means my roll is to harass and cajole until you make an effort to push something positive into our world.

You don’t have to fund the Mexican American Legal Defense and Education Fund – the charity I’m supporting. I hope you will, but there are a lot of other fine moustaches growing for other fine charities right around the corner at fundastache.org. Pick something, click “Donate Now!”, and make a difference.

I know that you all work daily to make the world what we need it to be. And I value and respect what you do. But we have to recognize that sometimes our best efforts are those that enable someone else’s. Your donation to a charity at fundastache.org can be exactly that.

Sad 'Stache

This is how my ‘stache feels when it remembers it was born in Arizona. While it had the good sense to leave the state before the Republican-lead legislature formalized racism, it feels the pain Arizona’s laws have inflicted upon the other fine 'staches left in the state.

Alfredo's 'Stache

Like this one, worn by one of my heros, Alfredo.

Be a supporter of equality, and help the Mexican American Legal Defense and Educational Fund fight the racism ratified by the Arizona Legislature and Gov. Brewer.

And bring a little cheer to our ‘staches.

Thanks for your support!

Lonely 'Stache

I have a ‘stache, but it’s lonesome for some company. Cheer up my 'stache by signing up to grow one of your own. If you’re not of the growing ilk, at least come pay a visit to the moustaches proudly advertising charity’s cause at fundastache.org

The 'Stache of Equality

A little late getting started this year, but that won’t hold back the ‘Stache of Equality.
